test update In August, Carmen Sandoval led the creation of the new Community Garden behind the Tribal Government offices. The first planting took place on August 11th and by September there was already a bounty of vegetables and herbs for students to harvest during the SYCEO & Education departments' After School Program.
- On September 14th the students all got involved in painting a mural for the compost bin and there was additional planting with the Sons and Daughters of Tradition.
- On September 24th a basket of zucchini, rainbow chard, arugula and cilantro was offered to the Elder's Council.
- In October students harvested yellow and green zucchini, carrots and beets.
